Middle Phase Reward Visits

Ash class chose to go bowling this term as their reward visit.

The students have a work system that they follow to help them understand the expectations of the visit and inform them about what they are going to be doing and when it will be finished. They were able to use this to support them to get on the minibus, fasten their seatbelt and travel safely to the bowling alley.

Once there, the students waited their turn, followed the rules of the bowling alley and enjoyed watching their ball knock the pins down at the end of the alley.

The students were then able to use their work systems to know when bowling had finished, and it was time to get back on the minibus and return to school.

The reward trips are not only a reward for all the hard work of the students over the half-term, there are also learning opportunities throughout the visit.

These visits are vital to support our students to access the community and help them learn how to communicate, regulate and be independent in a different environment to school.
