Lest We Forget

80 Years since the D-Day landings!

On Monday 11th November - Armistice Day - Staff, Students and Families came together to remember the contribution and loss of British and Commonwealth service men and women in the World Wars and all worldwide conflicts since. The students held up letters which spelt 'Lest we forget' and this was captured with a fabulous aerial photo courtesy of Mr Jackson's drone.

The children and staff made poppies and these were displayed in the 'poppy field' at the front of the academy for everyone to enjoy.

A social story was given to the children before the event so that they understood the importance of the event.
