Following democratic elections in classes, the Student Academy Council have their inaugural meeting and each representative explains why they want to be part of the student council. The candidates come up with excellent reasons, including "I want to make the academy a better place for everyone" and "The reason I want to be an Academy Councillor is to make the academy more fun and get more students." The students get the full voting experience as part of our learning around Democracy.

The council will meet at least once each half-term and each councillor now has a special book and pencil to record the ideas of their class to share in meetings.
