Online safety for Parents and Carers
As parents or relatives, teachers and other adults responsible for children’s safety, we want our children and those we look after to be healthy, happy and to develop well both physically and mentally. Above all, it’s also instinctive that we want children to be safe. Safeguarding our students is one of our most important priorities at Purple Oaks.
We take Internet safety very seriously at Purple Oaks Academy and take all the appropriate measures possible to keep our students safe when accessing the internet and other communication technologies in school. However, we also appreciate that, outside of the protective school environment and systems we have in place, the Internet can be a worrying place for some. With this in mind, ALL students throughout school are taught e-Safety, including the safe use of mobile phones and game consoles. To help raise awareness we participate in the national 'Safer Internet Day' each year and also offer e-Safety workshops to support parents to understand how to support their child on devices.
