Food Technology Curriculum Vision

The Purple Oaks Academy curriculum for Food technology aims to help the students to undertake more responsibility for ethical food sourcing and production. This can improve sustainability and help our students observe a healthier diet throughout their childhood and adult life.

As part of their work with food, students are taught how to cook and to apply the principles of nutrition and healthy eating. Learning how to cook is a crucial life skill that enables students to feed themselves and others affordably and well, now and in later life.
